Mobile Service Engineer - Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE)
Location: Maidstone – Covering the Southeast
Sector: Material Handling Equipment - Plant
Compensation: Competitive salary, paid door-to-door
Role Overview:
As a Mobile Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a broad range of mechanical handling equipment, including Diesel, Electric, and LPG forklift trucks. Covering the Maidstone and Southeast region, you’ll travel to customer sites, diagnose, and fix faults, and ensure all jobs are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. You will also maintain strong communication with customers, providing clear reports on the work carried out.

What’s on Offer:
- Competitive Salary: £37,380 - £41,540
- Paid Door-to-Door: Get compensated for all travel time. (Choice of 40 or 45 Hour week)
- Overtime Opportunities: Earn £26.00 per hour for overtime, with additional out-of-hours call-out retainers.

- Tools and Technology: Specialist tools, PPE, company phone, tablet, and laptop with access to industry-leading software.

- Conduct fault finding, diagnosis, and repair on various forklift trucks and mechanical handling equipment.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, maintaining clear communication with clients and providing detailed reports on completed work.
- Operate independently while coordinating effectively with Service Controllers and the team of engineers.
- Experience: Proven experience in a Service Engineer role or a related field is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of IC engines, electric forklift trucks, hydraulics, and mechanical engineering.
- Qualifications: Ideally qualified to a minimum of City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3.
- Driving License: A full UK driving license is required.
- Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, decision-making, and a commitment to safety and quality.
