Overview

This is an opportunity for an established Technologist or a Graduate with industry experience to join a rapidly growing business.

You will work to supply the major retailers including M&S and Tesco within a very fast paced environment.

The Role

• Become the main technical stakeholder and day to day contact for a retailer customer technologist.
• Undertake routine data analysis and provide reports to determine KPI performance.
• Use QMS data to monitor and review performance advising on and undertaking where appropriate, actions and implementations of product and process improvement.
• Produce weekly complaints KPI reports and recommendations (both internally and externally).
• Assist in artwork and label approval and sign-off.
• Conduct supplier visits when required to determine quality and ensure specifications are met.
• Ensure customer specifications are accurate and up to date (both papers based and on customer portals).
• Provide support to the customer account team; Technical Managers, Commercial team and NPD to determine technical vision and input into the Customer Business Plan.
• Participate in assigned projects and deliver results in given timeframes.
• Develop an understanding of the business and product portfolio.
• Technical data entry into internal and external documents.
• Develop a direct and positive relationship with customers and the internal team including, Technical, Commercial, NPD, Packaging, Operations teams & functional colleagues.
• Provide support and cover for other members of the company’s technical team when required.

The Candidate

• A bright, articulate team player
• Either an experience Food Technologist / Technical Coordinator etc. or a Food Science graduate with some industry experience.
