The Benefits Team, part of the Customer Compliance Group (CCG) Transformation Directorate (TD) Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO), drives benefits-focused transformational change, with a vision to be recognised and delivering best practice transformational change.

Job description

You will be providing high-quality Benefits Management support to a range of programmes and projects bringing about transformational change in CCG. Planning and coordinating the activities needed to develop key benefits management artefacts and ensuring they are produced to agreed standards. 

Working across a range of programmes, projects and team activity you will be able to deliver effectively by planning and managing multiple, competing priorities, often to challenging deadlines. You will identify and analyse technical data, from which you will draw trends and conclusion, allowing you to communicate benefits and performance improvement opportunities to stakeholders. Processing information quickly, working flexibly and independently, comfortable with a degree of ambiguity you will liaise effectively with and influencing decision makers.

Person specification

Key responsibilities:  

  • Work with key partners to support their benefits management activity and contribute to business case development using best practice. 
  • Work with diverse stakeholders to ensure benefits are identified, understood, owned and maximised within the development of project benefits management strategies.
  • Establish the mechanism for the tracking and reporting of benefits through the project lifecycle and into realisation. 
  • Facilitate workshops, map and profile benefits, circulating artefacts for agreement and approval. 
  • Provide support and analysis to the EPO benefits management team and expert advice to the project community. 

Essential Criteria:  

You will already have experience of:  

  • Working with a complex workload and being able to plan and prioritise effectively.  
  • Reviewing complex data, identifying issues, spotting trends or risks, and determining appropriate solutions.   
  • Working in either a Portfolio Management or Programme & Project Management environment. 

Desirable Criteria:   

  • Benefits Management experience. 
  • Experience of presenting complex data and concepts using spoken or written communication skills.
