Transport Manager - Job Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of services.
• Develop and implement transport strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Monitor and manage fleet performance, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and optimise the use of resources, including vehicles, drivers, and support staff.
• Ensure that all drivers and vehicles comply with health and safety regulations, including maintaining accurate records.
• Liaise with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
• Manage budgets, prepare reports, and analyse data to improve operational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the transport team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Transport Manager - Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a transport management role.
• Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage is essential.
• Membership with the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is highly desirable.
• A Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) license is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• A driven individual with a passion for the transport industry and a keen interest in progressing within the company.

Transport Manager - Remunerations

• £38,000 - £42,000
• Mon - Fri 8:00 - 18:00
• 28 days holiday inc bank holidays.
