An independent Civil, Structural and Geo Engineering Consultancy based in Cheadle Hulme are on the lookout for a Civil Design Engineer with at least 3+ years' experience working in a design consultancy environment on Commercial and Industrial projects.

The company are a homegrown, single-office consultancy with over 30 staff working from their Cheshire/South Manchester base and are actively looking for someone to join the team who is looking to learn and be assisted with their quest for Chartership with the ICE. The right person will most likely hold a BEng in Civil Engineering and have worked as a Civil Design Engineer in design consultancy before.

Responsibilities of a Civil Design Engineer:

• Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions for residential and commercial projects.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility and monitor progress.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
• Utilize engineering software and tools effectively to optimize design processes.

The package for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 plus benefits (depending on specific experience and seniority). Free parking is also available on site and hybrid working from home is also available.
