Shift – Fri to Sun (6am-6pm) – 36hr

TXM Recruit are looking to acquire a skilled CNC Machinist (Starrag) who ideally has experience working in the fast-paced precision engineering sector. The successful candidate will join our clients Machine Shop based in Derby. In this role you will produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines specifically from Starrag 3 and 5-axis milling machines. This a great opportunity for a passionate individual who is serious about developing a career in the Aerospace sector.

As a CNC Machinist your responsibilities will include:

• Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency
• Competently set and operate CNC machines (Starrag)
• Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
• To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
• Quality check all finished jobs
• Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area.

We are looking for a CNC Machinist with the following skills and experience:

• Fully skilled time served CNC setter/operator (*Certificates Required*)
• Experience of milling machines – 3 & 5 Axis
• Able to interpret engineering drawings
• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
• Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment
• Be able to concentrate to enable quality finished components
• Ability to pay attention to detail Able to apply good practical skills
• Ability to follow written instructions
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination and Normal Colour Vision
