Merchandiser- 12 months Fixed term contract

As a Merchandiser here at Signet Jewelers you'll be operating at a senior level, leading a team and working directly with our Head of Merchandise Development and Services. 

Your role will be key into the continued success and growth of the business and help support our new area of the business of Wholesale.

About the role:

• Working directly with the Head of Merchandise Development and Services to create the strategy and objectives for planning our range and to prepare the range plan
• Working directly with the with the Head of Merchandise Development and Services to prepare sales and stock plans and range and buying plans
• Contribute to profit management through accurate forecasting and recommendations on action
• Identify opportunities to improve sales performance
• Support space planning principles where applicable to ensure that the maximum return on space is achieved
• Contribute to VM and layout decisions where applicable to ensure that these are reflective of sales and profit 
• Provide relevant product sales and other data to other areas of the business with recommendations as to ways to increase revenue
• Ensure promotional activity is phased in line with markdown strategy
• Review and update sales and stock forecasts and OTB
• Control product analysis e.g. class, price-point
• In conjunction with team, monitor and review branch stock cover and sales performance, warehouse stock levels, stock sell through rates, new branch stock builds, service levels, core lines, BSLs, repeat orders

About you:

• Current or previous experience within a Merchandiser position, preferably within a Retail environment
• Highly numerate with highly developed analytical thinking 
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Good working knowledge of merchandising, B and M systems, supply chain and quality control 
• Experience within a multi-site merchandising function
• Experience of working in a fast paced, demanding environment 

Hybrid working pattern- 2 days based in our Watford office and 3 days remotely each week.
