We are currently recruiting for an experienced Integrated Management Systems (IMS) Manager based at a company in the Burnley area. You will work closely with the QSHE Manager and Project Teams to develop, implement, and maintain IMS operating standards across the business.

They are a growing team, so it’s an exciting time to join the business. The role will be predominantly based in the Burnley office, with occasional travel to Client sites (UK). The role will be varied, and you will have the opportunity to work with different teams, Managers and Directors.

The Role

  • Lead the development, improvement, and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS) to underpin QSHE and operating standards to ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001 standards.
  • Lead the external ISO Audit visits (ISO 45001, 14001 & 9001).
  • Lead the quarterly (IMS) Management Review Meetings and ensure all actions are closed out.
  • Collate, monitor, analyse and manage data on IMS/QSHE performance and create reports.
  • Conduct process audits and project audits as part of the annual audit schedule.
  • Manage and maintain strict Document control across the Group.
  • Write policies, procedures, forms and other documents – including new and reviewing and updating existing documents.
  • Develop and maintain templates on the Safety Culture app (formerly iAuditor) – including creating new templates and reviewing and updating existing documents.
  • Provide IMS support and training to internal Staff.
  • Providing support and collating PQQ information for tenders.
  • Be a role model for continuous improvement and work with the QSHE Manager to proactively develop a positive QSHE culture across all areas of the business.
  • Any additional tasks, as required, set by your Line Manager.

The Person

  • Knowledge and experience of ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 9001 (Quality) management systems.
  • Internal Auditor experience and/or qualifications.
  • Excellent IT skills across Microsoft Office, Teams, internet and email.
  • High level of proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Good listening and communication skills (in person, by telephone and email).
  • Team Player - working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work proactively on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Good personal organisation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK health and safety, environmental, and quality legislation.
  • Full clean UK driving licence, use of own vehicle (vehicle must be reliable with business-use insurance).
  • Demonstrable commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Desirable

  • Experience of developing and delivering training.
  • Environmental training/ qualifications.
  • Quality training/ qualifications, (such as IQA).
  • Experience within the construction or energy industry.
  • Experience of using the Safety Culture App (formerly iAuditor) to create new templates and adapt existing templates, monitor analytics.

Hours of work

Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – 2pm ( 40 hours a week )
