GSL Education is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in our client schools based in Slough, Berkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and wish to gain valuable experience in a classroom setting.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Your primary role will be to manage the classroom, ensuring that students remain focused on their work and maintain good behavior. You will be provided with pre-prepared lesson plans and materials, allowing you to effectively deliver lessons across various subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage classes of students across different year groups and subjects.
• Ensure students remain on task and follow the lesson plan provided by the absent teacher.
• Manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assist students with any questions or challenges they may encounter during the lesson.
• Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff member.

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting, is desirable.
• Confidence in delivering pre-prepared lessons across various subjects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to work.
• A commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development.
• In possession of an Enhanced DBS or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
