About the Role:
The company is seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join its dynamic consultancy team. Whether an individual is just starting out or is a seasoned professional, the company is eager to discuss how they can fit into their thriving team. As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, the role primarily involves being based on client sites, with minimal need to report to a head office. The team structure supports intermediate and junior staff with a team leader and a log book, while more senior members are afforded the autonomy to manage their projects independently. The types of projects you will be working on are datacentres, commercial buildings, hospitals, schools and many more project types in the commercial sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management and Estimation:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E projects.
  • Conduct cost analysis and manage risks effectively.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring costs stay within agreed limits.
Tendering and Procurement:
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms with contractors and suppliers.
  • Manage the procurement process for materials and subcontractors.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage the resolution of any financial disputes related to projects.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with project costs and contracts.
