Bid Manager | Ilkeston | Up to £55,000 + Bonus | Remote / Hybrid

The Opportunity

Bid Manager required to lead the implementation of the bidding process for an asset management and investigation specialist who are in an exciting period of growth.

In the past 18 months, this business has grown 33% and aspires to continue that growth trajectory over the next 2 years. As Bid Manager, you will play a crucial part in the company and with this opportunity will come both management and progression opportunities.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing opportunities from the initial identification of customer requirements through to contract renewal strategy, on large framework projects through to small one-off project opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the implementation and creation of the official bidding and tendering process.
• Overseeing and coordinating the bidding process within the business. You will also be responsible for analysing and evaluating bid proposals submitted by potential vendors and suppliers and are essential in driving business growth and revenue generation.
• Review of existing QA procedures and policies and further, ongoing implementation of all necessary procedures, governance and processes.
• Identifying business opportunities that align with the wider business strategy.
• Maintain accurate records of bids, wins, losses and success rates.

Candidate Essentials

• Experience leading the implementation of the bidding process.
• Proven Bid Preparation Expertise: Experience in preparing and submitting successful bids for large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with the UK rail and road industry standards, regulations and procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Ideally Degree Qualified in a relevant field such as business management, project management, marketing or civil engineering.
• Professional Accreditation: Relevant certifications in project management or rail/road-focused fields.

Desirable

• Bid/project management within structural inspection, investigation and testing and repairs (highways, rail, waterways, utility sectors).
• Knowledge of structural engineering, CDM Regulations, Health & Safety standards, and testing methodologies (NDT, remedial repairs).
