Salary

£43000 per annum plus Car Allowance - £3684

As an Operations Manager at Unipart Logistics you will lead, manage, and motivate a team of managers to achieve business goals; through focusing on continuous improvement, quality and attention to detail. You will plan and manage Customer requirements whilst focusing on financial targets and the development of your team. As part of your key responsibilities you'll:

• Maintain and enforce company policies and be responsible for your teams to do the same
• Lead a team of first line managers to ensure they are effective leaders and act in line with policy, employment law regulations and the Unipart Leadership Fundamentals
• Ensure health and safety standards are achieved on an on-going basis and actively promote individual responsibility for health and safety
• Build and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, service providers, customers and colleagues
• Maintain all aspects of stock integrity and ensure ownership of activities and resolutions
• Ensure operating procedures and processes meet quality requirements and support performance improvement objectives; taking into account the need to respond to volume fluctuations and changes in business and customer needs
• Manage and plan for operational requirements against forecast and demand
• Liaise with customer representatives to resolve problems and maintain partnership relationships

As an Operations Manager you will need to have

• Relevant operational leadership experience within Logistics and Supply Chain in a warehousing and distribution environment
• Experience of managing and leading teams
• Self-motivated with an analytical mind and an eye for detail
• Strong planning, organisational and time management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Customer focused
• Strong problem solving skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office/equivalent, SAP and WMS
• An understanding of continuous improvement tools and techniques and process improvement experience
• Sound understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certified
• Ten`d to Zero
