The Technical Coordinator will support the Technical Manager in overseeing the technical, engineering, and architectural aspects of a large-scale development project in Greenwich. The project involves constructing five tower blocks. The Coordinator ensures that all technical information is accurately produced, reviewed, and distributed on time and within budget, facilitating smooth collaboration across departments and with external teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Documentation:
    • Oversee external design teams and consultants to deliver documents on time and within budget.
    • Lead and coordinate Design-Technical Meetings; document and track action items.
    • Review design drawings and specifications for compliance, buildability, and value engineering.
    • Distribute project specifications and manage the flow of design information.
  • Subcontractor and Supplier Coordination:
    • Receive, verify, and coordinate information from subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Attend meetings with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
    • Manage the distribution of construction and as-built information internally.
  • Regulatory and Compliance:
    • Ensure Building Regulations and Warranty conditions are met without project delays.
    • Obtain necessary statutory approvals (e.g., S278, S104, S38) promptly.
    • Manage applications and inquiries with service companies and local authorities.
  • Problem Solving and Technical Support:
    • Resolve design and construction issues by liaising with relevant personnel and consultants.
    • Provide technical support to the site team; manage responses to technical requests.
    • Attend monthly site Project Review Meetings and report on progress.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage updates to technical project information through the discounted cash flow process.
    • Assist in preparing operations and maintenance manuals, including Health and Safety files.
    • Ensure adherence to Company contracts, regulations, and administrative systems.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with building products, techniques, and regulatory changes.
    • Engage in professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Incorporate feedback and ensure high-quality, coordinated design packages.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of development and technical design processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to details
  • Experience managing people, processes, and time effectively.
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or relevant professional qualification.
