Job Advert: Lab Technician (Temp To Perm)

Our client, a leading research institution in the field of life sciences, is seeking a talented Lab Technician to join their dynamic team based in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ground-breaking research in a state-of-the-art facility.

As a Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the research activities of the organisation. Working closely within a knowledgeable team, you will be responsible for conducting experiments, analysing samples, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Your role will contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the development of innovative solutions in the field of life sciences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing batch review of quality control documents for bulk, intermediate and FG QC tests
  • Contributing to laboratory housekeeping, cleaning, and consumable supply maintenance
  • Performing and training of instrument calibration and calibration schedule upkeep
  • Leading or taking part in process improvements, development projects, as well as contributing towards the resolution of quality issues
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Collaborate with members of the research team to assist with data interpretation and analysis.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) or similar experience
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting would be advantageous but isn't essential
  • Proficiency in conducting experiments, analysing samples, and interpreting data
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
