Groundworks ganger/supervisor - Redruth, Cornwall

Tarmacing - Civils/commercial

A great opportunity to start a long term temp to perm operational role based around Cornwall. You will be required to manage a gang of 3 on a variety of civils projects. Initially there will be several weeks or months work in Redruth, Cornwall. 

Between the gang of 3 there will be 2 vehicles and fuel cards issued to get you and your equipment to the jobs. 

You will need previous experience for this role. We are looking for someone that is happy to work and supervise.

Day to day:

• To manage 2 groundworks labourers
• To allocate works
• Overseeing small scale civils jobs
• Laying tarmac
• Prepping base for aggregate
• Compacting sub base 
• Compacting top base
• Operating pedestrian roller
• Moving materials 
• Using basic tools
• Maintain a safe working environment 

Requirements:

• Previous experience in tarmacing, groundworks and running a gang is essential.
• Street works ticket (operative or supervisor)
• An in date CSCS card
• NVQs not essential but preferable
• Driving licence is essential for this operational role
• Good timekeeping
• People management skills
