Print Assistant

The position of Print assistant is to manage day to day function of the Print Room. The main responsibility for the printing of all client reports/presentations/marketing & Seminar brochures in a timely manner. Ensuring that these requests are prioritised to meet differing deadlines with reviewing the quality of the reports before dispatch.

  • Management of the Print Room. Prime responsibility for the printing of all client reports/presentations/marketing & Seminar brochures in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that these requests are prioritised to meet differing deadlines with reviewing the quality of the reports before dispatch.
  • Keeping those requesting reports informed as to progress.
  • Undertake user maintenance tasks necessary for the upkeep of the printers and booklet making machine. Instruct and liaise with suppliers to facilitate non-user maintenance repairs and servicing.
  • Ensuring that all consumables are in stock for the printers, booklet making machine and stationery items necessary for thermal and spiral book binding. Checking invoices for payment authorisation.
  • Maintain and submit annual sustainability return for printer paper/envelopes.
  • Keeping records of usage against cost for analysis each year.
  • Liaising with suppliers over paper and printed stationery and ensuring best price paid.
  • Selecting new suppliers if required without loss of quality and service.
  • Changing paper if required and checking the spec still falls within Sarasin & Partners guidelines.
  • Work with marketing over any branding change or updates that need improving.
  • Work with IT in selecting new print machine and binding equipment as and when required.
  • Training users/new joiners on the machines or any new equipment.
  • Reviewing and implementing improvements to print area within agreed budget.
  • Deputising for Facilities Manager and Facilities Officer during absence and/or assist with the overflow of important tasks and/or contractor works.
  • Assisting Facilities Officer with all Stationery matters
  • Assisting Facilities Dept with Office Moves, internal churn, Manual Handling and being on hand to assist in other standard Facilities duties such as Post and Couriering.
  • Fire evacuation training for new starters if facilities manager unable to attend.
  • Maintain Fire Warden and First Aider logs/records/certificates and arrange annual training.
