Procurement Manager - Exports strategy

Salary: £48,000

Location: Hertfordshire

Hybrid Working: 2/3 days on site per week

Responsibilities:

Industrial Cooperation and Offset

  • Generate requests to the supply chain for proposals outside of existing sector responsibilities to support objectives set by the International Industrial Cooperation team.
  • Understand the MEP requirements and provide support in developing appropriate strategies by the various regional domain leads.

Export Sales

  • Generate reports on export campaigns for the MEP New Business Teams and MEP Senior Leadership team through the organization of Quarterly Export Reviews.
  • Support the Export Win Team Leaders with industrial activities that benefit business winning, including working with strategic partners to provide technical information and cost data.
  • Ensure the company's commercial position is protected in the export environment, including working closely with Business Solutions Improvement (BS&I) and the National Compliance Officer (NCO) on ethical compliance/approvals for entities that may potentially form part of the industrial strategy.
  • Functional and Senior Management Support

Functional and Senior Management Support

  • Organize the MEP UK Quarterly Export Review, collating inputs from various MEP Sector New Business Leads, regional leads, and SBD Win Team leaders, and arrange for guest speakers on topics of interest.
  • Act as the secretary for the MEP Export Approvals Review, recording the approvals and noting any actions.
  • Participate in the MEP New Business Community of Purpose representing ES&IP.

  • An individual with excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally, at all levels of the organisational hierarchy.
  • A team player capable of influencing and managing multiple relationships, you should also be comfortable working and travelling autonomously when required.
  • An assertive individual with a can-do attitude who continually seeks way to maximise on opportunities - you will need to analyse situations and be adept at understanding and presenting different possibilities, balancing risk.
  • An individual able to work on multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Degree level academic qualifications (Law, Business, Economics, Commercial) or relative experience
  • Experience in Contracting, Intellectual Property identification, etc
  • An understanding of commercial constructs including contracts (prime and sub), requests for quotation, Statement of Works, Technical Requirement Specifications, Intellectual property valuation and Licensing (Royalties and Fees) etc.
  • Project management experience is valuable but not essential
