Graduate Planner – Permanent – Cambridge – Up to £31,000 Per Annum

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable graduate to join our client who work within the telecommunications sector. This will sit in their Planning team. Providing comprehensive training and mentoring, you will work with Senior Planners, Team Leads, Quality Controllers and Project Coordinators. With this transfer of knowledge, it will enable you to become an active participant in design production for fibre clients nationwide.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creation and delivery of project designs and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Responsible to maintain excellent communication with project coordinators, other planning team members and Planning Team Lead
  • Responsible for recognising risks, raise, issue and escalate through the survey & design life cycle
  • Expected to develop and maintain excellent customer and team relationships
  • Expected to gain an understanding of commercial viability of designed solutions
  • Accountable for project deliverables (the design) to be managed and delivered focusing on Health & Safety, Quality, time and cost
  • Accountable for project documents to be complete, current, and appropriately stored
  • Responsible for the provision of timely project reporting including KPI performance and project budget achievement
  • Accountable for collation of information on delivery to report to Project Coordinators and Senior Planner

Qualifications and Skills

  • Working knowledge of GIS platforms – Desirable
  • A degree within a discipline involving mapping software e.g. Geography, Geology, Earth sciences, Biology etc.
  • Strong communications skills
