A privately owned dental practice in Southsea, that prides themselves on delivering exceptional dental care in a warm and welcoming environment is now hiring a part-time dental receptionist. The practice is committed to ensuring every patient feels comfortable and valued from the moment they step through thedoors. A close-knit team of dedicated professionals, looking for a dynamic and friendly Front of House Receptionist to join the team. Position Overview:


As the Front of House Receptionist, you will be the face of the practice, creating a positive first impression for every patient. In this role, you will handle a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the smooth operation of the practive. This is a part-time position, ideal for someone who is passionate about customer service and enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:
● Welcoming Patients: Greet patients with a warm and friendly attitude as they arrive,
ensuring they feel comfortable and well-cared for.
● Appointment Management through Dentally: Schedule and confirm appointments,
manage the practice calendar, and ensure that the daily schedule runs smoothly.
● Patient Communication: Handle incoming calls, emails, and other communications,
providing accurate information and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members.
● Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update databases, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
● Payment Processing: Assist with billing inquiries and process patient payments
accurately and efficiently.
● Maintaining a Welcoming Environment: Ensure the reception area is clean,
organised, and reflective of the professional standards of our practice.
● Supporting Patients journey: Ensure that every interaction is purposeful and provides
value to our patients; anticipating the next steps though their dental needs.


Key Qualifications:


● Experience: Previous experience (5 years +) in a receptionist or customer service role, preferably in a dental or medical setting.

● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the
ability to engage effectively with patients and staff.
● Organisation: Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a
busy environment.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency with office software, including scheduling systems and
basic accounting software.
● Professionalism: A polished and professional demeanor with a genuine passion for
providing outstanding customer service.
● Flexibility: Availability to work part-time hours, with the potential for some flexibility in
scheduling. There will be one Saturday in a month that needs covering
