Role Profile

Our client is a growing omni-channel business, looking to recruit an experienced Demand Planning Manager. Reporting into the Operations Director, you'll oversee a small yet effective team and be responsible for ensuring optimised on-shelf availability whilst managing stockholding to maximise revenue & efficiency. The role is Monday to Friday, full-time and office based with the option to work from home 1 day per week after passing probation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach the team to ensure optimal service is provided to customers.
  • Prioritise on-shelf availability for grocery customers, whilst considering current stockholding, capacities and forecasts.
  • Support the team to provide accurate forecasts and provider recommendations for reorders, advising techniques, tools and best practices.
  • Embed processes within the function to ensure all steps are completed in order to invoice.
  • Lead volume monthly sales recap meetings, presenting and reviewing relevant data.
  • Manage strategic, key relationships with senior contacts in customer merchandising teams and ensure excellent service is delivered.
  • Collaborate with other business functions including supply chain, procurement and logistics to report on wider business KPI's and address any issues.
  • Use data to provide insights to both sales and product development teams to inform decision making and suggests recommendations.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience leading teams in a Demand Planning function, ideally within a FMCG environment.
  • Experience of UK grocery customers would be advantageous.
  • Hands-on mindset, with willingness to get stuck in with the team and help embed processes.
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience of moving stock on a global scale across multiple locations would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence at all levels.
