CEN Resources are currently working in partnership with a well known engineering and design firm who are extremely successful within its sector delivering concept and detailed design engineering to clients across the chemicals, petrochemical, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. Due to the growth plans for operations in the central belt of Scotland, they are currently looking to recruit a A Piping Engineering Team Leader. Once settled in, this role only requires the relevant person to be in the office once a week with the rest of time being spent working from home.

We are looking for an experienced Piping Team Leader to take responsibility for technically directing the piping team to produce piping deliverables in accordance with industry standards, codes and client specifications, within the project schedule and budget.

In addition to the technical lead role they will also be involved in the development and growth of the process piping team, provide input in bids & tenders, managing sub-contractors and developing processes and systems relating to this new capability.

  • This is an excellent opportunity to play an influential role in establishing, expanding, and developing the broader Piping team and its capabilities within the business. You will be responsible for managing various deliverables and contributing to the ongoing success of this team and the delivery across various projects.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of delivering Piping and Layout Design within challenging engineering projects, understanding piping specifications and design codes
  • Experience in Design Co-ordination and Clash Detection, discipline liaison and guidance.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in Plant 3D.
  • Experience in Design Co-ordination and Clash Detection, discipline liaison and guidance.
  • Appreciation of layout requirements for hygienic pipework would be preferred but not essential.
