The Opportunity:

My client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Small Works and Construction divisions. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in a dynamic team, where you'll be responsible for preparing and submitting competitive tenders that drive the business forward.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Produce accurate estimates for projects ranging from £100k to £10m.
• Project Review: Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits and surveys to gather essential project data.
• Documentation: Prepare quantities, cost sheets, and labor rates.
• Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and consultants to offer value engineering proposals.
• Tender Submission: Finalise tender bids and participate in pre-start meetings.
• Supplier Coordination: Manage enquiries with subcontractors and suppliers efficiently.

What My Client is Looking For:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years in estimating or preconstruction at the main contractor level.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Estimating software.
• Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in a related field.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Teamwork: A collaborative approach and keen attention to detail.
