Let Alliance are looking for a new results orientated Business Analyst.

Job purpose:

Understand and analyse business needs and strategies to translate these into work packages and definitions suitable for delivery by technology and business project teams. Ensure that project deliverables adhere to the business requirements and support delivery team in delivering solutions that meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To support project team in planning and leading workshops with business and technical staff, documenting outputs, proactively seeking subsequent agreement and sign-off.
  • To elicit functional and non-functional requirements via techniques such as interviews, workshops, process modelling and examination of business collateral.
  • To analyse data to support business decisions, identify trends and provide actionable insights
  • To document clearly defined requirements using Jira including acceptance criteria which support robust testing
  • To recognize opportunities for improvement to current business processes through logical reasoning and an appreciation of the technical impact in an SOA (Service Orchestrated Architecture) environment.
  • To contribute towards reconciling conflicting information obtained from multiple sources and be able to recognize the “big picture” from a jumble of low-level information.
  • To maintain consensus on solution scope in the face of conflicting requirements from project stakeholders.
  • To support and propose innovative solutions that enable Barbon Insurance Group to achieve its objectives
  • To act as a conduit between business staff and the technical development and support teams.
  • To create test scripts, plans and scenarios as well as preliminary testing of software to verify requirements have been met.
  • To execute post live testing where required to validate released software changes are working as expected
  • To provide a level of support to end users and other stakeholders such as trainers and helpdesk team when the software is deployed.
  • To manage further ad-hoc activities as & when required by the project team
  • To contribute towards new ideas proposed and implemented for improvement to business processes and/or software development practices.
  • To stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the business remains competitive.

Experience:

  • Proven experience of providing business system support.
  • Testing of new system functionality or process
  • Communicating with Senior Management.
