Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Full time, permanent

The Role

Thei success means they are looking for a Business Controller to help them meet future customer demand. This role is contracted to 37 hours per week.

Palatine is part of the commercial arm of the City Council and produce quality mattresses. They are growing and have  contracts covering the whole of the UK, supplying the MOD  , Hotels, Care Homes and Student Accommodation, they also work in partnership with the Furniture Service.

You will be managing all aspects of Stock Control and Material Purchasing and Production Scheduling as well as creating BOMS (Bill of materials )  for  a busy  production facility supporting and reporting to the Operations Team leader to ensure they have all they need to produce to demand

The person:

  • Their customers are at the forefront of their business, they need individuals who care about delivering excellent customer service
  • You will have experience of Purchase Ordering preferably withing manufacturing
  • You must have the ability to build up and maintain good relationships with suppliers and customers, both internal and external
  • The role is varied and flexible so on occasions you will be hands on and supervise loading of vehicles so be prepared to come out of the office
  • You must have good knowledge of IT systems, i.e. excel, word, and be prepared to learn internal systems
  • Be prepared to partake in Physical counting as well as system based stocktaking
  • You will have experience of carrying out administration tasks
  • You will be a team player offering support to the Production team by Planning and prioritising production schedules and ensuring the team has all it needs to ensure On Time In Full delivery principles
