Internal File Auditor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and detail-oriented Internal File Auditor to join our clients Risk and Compliance team. This is a brand-new position created to bring the file review process in-house, offering a unique opportunity to shape and manage the firm’s internal file auditing processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance, quality, and consistency across all client files, while also participating in various project-based initiatives within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • File Review Management: Conduct and manage the firm’s internal file review process, ensuring compliance with legal standards and firm policies.
  • Quality Assurance: Identify and rectify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or non-compliance issues within client files, maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Risk and Compliance to continuously improve the file review process.
  • Project Work: Engage in project-based work across different departments within the firm, providing valuable insights.
  • Process Improvement: Assist in developing and implementing new processes and guidelines for file management to enhance efficiency and satisfaction across the firm.
  • Training and Support: Offer guidance and support to other staff members on best practices in file management and compliance, fostering a culture of excellence and attention to detail.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience: Prior experience in file review within a law firm is highly desirable. Candidates with a strong understanding of legal file management processes will also be considered.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in legal documentation.
  • Legal Knowledge: A solid grasp of legal terminology, procedures, and file management practices within a law firm environment.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team Player: Collaborative and able to work effectively within a team.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying issues and offering practical solutions to improve processes and outcomes.
