B2B  Lead Account Manager – B2B Food Manufacturers

Remote working, Southern HQ but the roles are fully remote.  Travel to customers is expected together with team meet ups.  

A large European food group who have started to build their UK presence is looking to hire a National Account Manager who will manage their B2B channel working with Food Manufacturers. Category – Frozen.   The UK business has taken off with contracts already secured with some of the UKs largest food producers. It now time to start expanding the commercial team with the hire of a talented Food commercial professional who the business can invest in for future leadership opportunities.  This will be a truly exciting and rewarding opportunity for career development.   

The role will work closely with the Managing Director and other members of the business in Sales, Logistics, Finance and Technical

This role will present the opportunity for a talented National Accounts professional to get rapid exposure to major customers and fast track their career through strong coaching in all commercial areas of FMCG. The business has sales of more than £18m and growing at pace.

Key roles and responsibilities include

  • Manage the B2B channel delivering both new and existing business
  • Maximising sales and margin to deliver financial growth year on year
  • Build a strong network of contacts and be the customers go to contact
  • Best in class day to day account management
  • Effective cross functional collaboration with department heads and appointed Suppliers overseas

The ideal candidate

  • 5-10 years’  + experience managing B2B customers ideally food manufacturers
  • Ideally some classic blue-chip training, preferably combined with experience gained at a high growth SME’s
  • Thrives in an ambitious and fast paced environment
  • Great at working within and leading cross functional project teams
  • Exemplary commercial acumen & negotiation skills
  • Effective networker and relationship builder
  • Available to travel to Europe for meetings with Supplier partners, where required
