Our client, a leading automotive company based in Warwickshire, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer specializing in vehicle integration and packaging. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to cutting-edge projects in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support vehicle integration and packaging projects, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical components within vehicle systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize vehicle packaging solutions that meet technical and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize your extensive automotive experience to work with off-the-shelf, bolt-on components, ensuring compatibility and functionality within the vehicle's architecture.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including CAD modeling, FEA, and tolerance studies, to validate designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and best practices.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on automotive experience, with a strong focus on vehicle integration and packaging.
• Proven experience working with off-the-shelf, bolt-on components within automotive projects.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar) and engineering analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to project management.

Additional Information:

• This position is on-site, requiring presence Warwickshire 5 days per week.
• The role is offered on a 3-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.
