The Genuit Group is an expanded collaboration of businesses which serve the construction industry by providing sustainable water, climate and ventilation management solutions.

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer provides analysis of organisational requirements and specifies software and systems requirements for new IT solutions. Administers day-to-day operational support and advice to ensure systems performance, service continuity, and recovery.

The mission is to contribute to the technical design, implementation, and support of enhanced, software/ hardware platforms and cloud services. Providing solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analysing existing systems and business models recommending solutions and improvements

  • Author technical documents such as performance, specification, and solution designs.

  • Investigate, identify, diagnose, and resolve system related faults, escalating 3rd parties to maintain service levels.

  • Comply with organisational procedures ensuring systems security.

  • Assisting in the identification, analysis, and escalation of problems, owning through to resolution.

  • Meeting SLA in delivering effective request fulfilment

Core and Technical Competencies required for the role:

  • Selects, adopts, and adapts appropriate requirements, software and hardware definitions and management methods, tools and techniques.

  • Leads the preparation of technical plans and works with projects to ensure technical resources are assigned.

  • Contributes to the development of systems designs, standards and selection of architectural components of complex hardware, cloud systems and solutions.

  • Provides advice on technical aspects of solution development, integration, ensuring technical strategies, policies and standards are in place, including change.

  • Reviews others designs and changes ensuring appropriate use of technology, efficiently using resources and effective integrating systems and technology.

  • Ensures that solutions balance functional, service quality, security, systems management, and sustainability requirements.

  • Evaluates and undertakes impact analysis on design options, managing and accessing risk.

  • Carries out agreed operational procedures, including configuration, implementation, installation, and maintenance.

  • Experience in solutions design, implementation, configuration, and ability to define work packages and contribute to the architectural functions and project scoping across the following core services, equivalent or similar technical products, and solutions

  • Microsoft 365 technologies – Azure / on-prem Active Directory, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, MFA, DLP

  • Azure - networking, server, storage, application

  • SaaS platforms - Mimecast, Varonis, Identity Management, Cisco Umbrella, SIEM and SASE services

  • HP / Dell Server, Storage, VXRAIL SAN, NAS

  • Hypervisor - Vmware vSphere v6.5 - v8

  • Backup & Recovery - Veeam, Avamar, Zerto technologies

  • Networking Fundamentals - Cisco, Meraki, Aruba

  • Firewall Fundamentals - Cisco FTD, Palo Alto, FortiGate, Windows Defender

  • Scripting & Automation - Powershell, Terraform , Chef, Puppet,
