The Role:
They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Project Management & Building Surveying to lead a team of professionals. This is a senior leadership role, pivotal in driving the successful delivery of our construction and refurbishment projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, building surveying, and asset management within our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of project management and building surveying functions across the business.
  • Project Delivery: Lead and manage the delivery of large-scale construction and refurbishment projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Team Management: Inspire, mentor, and lead a team of project managers and building surveyors, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards. Proactively manage risks to minimize impact on project delivery.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee budget management, cost control, and financial reporting for all projects within your remit.
  • Innovation & Sustainability: Drive the adoption of innovative solutions and sustainable practices in project delivery and building maintenance.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of the property portfolio, ensuring assets are managed effectively and value is maximized.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in project management and building surveying, with a proven track record in leading large, complex projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships.
  • Financial acumen, with experience in budget management and cost control.
  • A forward-thinking mindset with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
