Overview:
Our client is a key division of a large global business with a network of operations across the world. They are now seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to lead a small team of transactional finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a qualified accountant, ensure the accurate and compliant recording of financial transactions alongside contributing to the overall finance operations.
• Manage financial controllership tasks and process standardisations.
• Supervise monthly and quarterly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies.
• Lead the preparation of financial reports including variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal financial policies.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Lead statutory accounts preparation, VAT and Corporation Tax reporting.
• Play an active role in FP&A activities providing variance explanations.
• Analyse inventory and margin reports and perform cost and profitability analytical studies.

Person Specification:

• At least 2-5 years' experience within a similar role.
• Degree in Accounting or Finance and Accountancy qualification.
• Proven leadership experience in managing accounting teams.
• Experience in financial controllership tasks allied to exposure to FP&A
• Experience with ERPs (SAGE, SAP etc)
• Comprehensive understanding of IFRS, local GAAP and financial compliance.
• Strategic hands-on business experience with accounting functions.
• Able to manipulate data.
