Commercial Gas Service Engineer

Full-time, Permanent

Desired start date: ASAP

Salary / Hourly rate: £18-20/hr (depending on experience )

Working hours: 7:30 – 16:00

Location: Ipswich (travel will be required to London and Southeast areas)

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Commercial Gas Service Engineer to join our client. Full scope of commercial gas works including servicing and repairs in line with current gas safety, installation and use, regulations, and the company’s standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Able to have a problem-solving approach and trouble shoot on site
• Proven experience of work in a  fast-paced environment  
• Good written and oral communication skills with the rest of the team and clients
• Able to carry out installation and commissioning, testing and service commercial gas activities independently
• Carrying out reactive fault finding and repairs on gas and heating systems
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
• Very good understanding of Health and Safety
• Proven experience of working on commercial plumbing systems
• Can maintain accurate records of all work performed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the gas industry
• Full clean manual UK driving licence
• Ability to pass Enhanced DBS checks
• PASMA scaffold tower qualification is desirable
• IPAF mobile elevated working platform qualifications is desirable
• Commercial Gas Safe ACS Qualifications
• OFTEC (desirable)
• Current Plumbing qualifications: City and Guilds Level 3 is desirable
• Must be willing to travel and stay away when required (with notice)
