Legal Counsel, Manchester

We are recruiting on behalf of a global company who are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join their growing team based in Manchester. This role is integral to our continued success and offers a unique opportunity to work across various sectors, with a primary focus on commercial contracts. You will be instrumental in drafting, negotiating, and finalising contracts, ensuring they meet their strategic objectives while managing the complexities of multi-party negotiations.

While the role is heavily contract-focused, you'll also have the opportunity to engage in project work and collaborate closely with the sales team on strategic initiatives. This position requires a professional who can maintain a fast pace, handle detailed contract work, and possess the foresight to drive agreements to completion.

About the Role

• Role: Legal Counsel
• Position: Full time, permanent
• Location: Manchester, 3 days in office, 2 from home
• Salary: up to £50K per annum
• Benefits: 32 days holiday, life assurance, pension, Christmas shutdown.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
• Collaborate with the sales team to align legal strategies with business goals.
• Engage in project work and contribute to company-wide initiatives.
• Manage a variety of legal tasks with attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.

Requirements
 

• Experience: At least 1 year of post-qualification experience.
• Commercial Expertise: Essential commercial contract experience.
• Background: Ideally, experience in an in-house legal team, though we welcome applicants from agency backgrounds.
• Qualifications: Solicitor or CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) qualifications.
