About The Job:

Requirements:

  • Experience in credit control and accounts receivable within a large business.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables).
  • Numerical skills and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with VAT regulations.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred.


Key Internal and External Relationships:

  • Senior Sales & General Management.
  • GL Accountants, Finance Managers, Financial Controllers, and Business Partners.
  • Customers, banks, and credit agencies.
  • Internal and External Auditors.


Impact and Scope:

  • Working closely with senior management and building strong relationships.
  • Dealing with challenging customers reluctant to pay invoices.
  • Ensuring a positive working environment within the SSC and wider finance team.
  • Collaborating with Internal/External Auditors and key internal business partners.

Requirements:

🔑 Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.

🔑 Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and friendly demeanour.

🔑 Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.

🔑 Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

🔑 Familiarity with CRM systems and the ability to quickly learn new software.

🔑 Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with empathy and composure.

🔑 A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help customers.
