About The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Account Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to start their career in account management within the R&D engineering sector. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, supporting project management, and contributing to the overall success of our engineering projects. 

The role will entail liaising with the sales team to have foresight of new clients in the horizon, scheduling calls/meetings for the consulting team once clients are engaged, sitting in/listening to consultant calls to have clarity on next steps required and executing these next steps to completion of the process followed by securing re-engagement for the next delivery cycle. For this client facing role, you will report directly to the Head of Consultants. If you are considering working in a consultancy environment, in a client facing role which may involve some travel to attend meetings (if video conference calling is not suitable) and influencing decision making of boardrooms then this role will suit you very well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with engineering clients, acting as the primary point of contact for their needs and inquiries.
  • Project Coordination: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering R&D projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Communication: Facilitate effective communication between clients and internal teams, ensuring client requirements are clearly understood and met.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular reports on project status, client satisfaction, and account performance.
  • Technical Support: Work closely with engineering teams to understand project specifications and provide clients with technical support and guidance.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to understand client industries and provide insights that drive project success.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, project progress, and other relevant information.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree: Engineering, Finance & Accounting, Marketing, etc.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and an engaging personality.
  • Great people skills, good ability to negotiate, curiosity and awareness regarding critical organisational and industry matters
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles and terminology is a plus.
