The Opportunity:   Are you an ambitious and driven Service Manager, committed to drive excellence and  lead the service department at a prestigious machinery dealership?  Working directly with the Branch and Sales Manager, you’ll ensure the seamless operation of the service office at one of our client’s branches in the South East of England. With a focus on agricultural and horticultural machinery repairs, you'll efficiently manage a team dedicated to providing outstanding service support whilst maintaining exceptional customer experience throughout.

 Role Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the efficient and effective management of the service office operations

  • To maintain fluid and effective communications across the team to ensure customer requirements are met

  • To oversee  the daily management of service staff, offering support and guidance as needed

  • To monitor and report on performance data and related financial information

Skills you will need:
Essential:

  • Previous management or supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of agricultural, construction and / or horticultural machinery sectors

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills across a range of audiences

  • Exceptional organisational skills, able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

  • The ability to multitask and maintain a professional image, especially during busy times

  • Confident in reporting on financial performance, including profit and loss management

  • The capacity to lead staff effectively while adhering to company procedures

  • The ability to work independently with a proactive and systematic approach to problem-solving

  • The ability to handle sensitive matters with the utmost professionalism and discretion

  • Proficient in balancing customer expectations while ensuring realistic commitments on behalf of the service department

Remuneration: Competitive salary (depending on experience), company vehicle, profit related bonus and generous benefits package including death in service cover, pension, staff discount and sick pay scheme.
