£416.65 - £445.00 Per Week 

Monday – Friday (Full time, Temporary to Permanent) 

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. 

Start Date: 9th September 2024 – Flexible start dates. 

The Role 

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with Special Educational needs. Your duties within this job role will consist of encouraging the children to take part in academic, physical or sensory lessons put together by class teachers that is tailored to the class type.The additional needs you will encounter when working in this setting are:Autism, SLD, PMLD (Profound&Multiple Learning Disabilities).Within this setting you may also experience some students with behaviours that challenge such as:  ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional& Mental Health)and Heightened Anxieties.You mightadditionally find yourself working with children who have visual or hearing impairments, multi-sensory impairments, sensory processing difficulties or physical difficulties. This school in particular will be based in the Sheffield area and is rated ‘excellent’ by a recent Ofsted report. The school caters for young children between the ages of 3 – 19 years old. 

Requirements 

To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will have: 

• Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable 

• An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one 

• The ability to work on initiative and proactively 

• The desire to work with young people with special educational needs 

• A driving licence and car or accessible public transport links. 

• Available Monday to Friday
