Fantastic opportunity available for a Quantity Surveyor experienced in the rail sector, working for a tier 1 civil engineering contractor. The successful candidate will be working as part of a large commercial team on a 12-month project. The project is based in Central London and is therefore very commutable.
About The Role
This scheme will require the successful candidate to oversee numerous infrastructure projects within the rail sector i.e. tunnel re-railing, station refurbishments, line maintenance etc. The value of which will exceed 100m. There will also be elements of the following: civil engineering and maintenance, capital works, M and E signals and telecoms.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
- Cost Management and cost planning
- Monthly flow forecast and reporting
- Sub-contract selection, appointment and contract management
- Support the Commercial Manager
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
- 5 + years experience as a QS working in the rail sector
- BSc Quantity Surveying
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to communicate confidently
