Salary: £56,584 (Overtime 2.0 + 1.5)

Location: Castle Donington

Shifts: 4 on 4 off 5 on 5 off Days and nights (2 long weekend off a month)

I am currently working with my client on an exclusive bases at one of the flag ship sites in Castle Donnington for a Maintenance Team Leader. They are a true leader in the world of automation. They are one of the largest systems integrators in the world with over 7000 employees operating in over 60 countries! They are now turning over close to two billion pounds worldwide and their market continues to grow year after year.  As a business they can offer immense amounts of progression opportunities, security and internal/ External training. They are forever evolving the way they develop, deliver and support their customers to ensure they fulfill their customers’ demands.  They do this through using the latest state of the art technology including OSR shuttle systems, hanging garments, various pick and place robotics and a range of other automation.  

One of the key selling points of this business there are clear progression route to work your way up the man management route as well as technical specialisms.

The Role

As a Maintenance Team Leader you will help and support the running of all of the automated equipment on site.

  •  Ensure the department operates in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all H&S policies and standards.
  • Motivation of engineering team through effective leadership, coaching and development of team
  • Conduct 1-2-1, Training and appraisal along with being involved with recruitment
  • The planned and reactive maintenance and PPM’s
  • Mechanically you will mainly be replacing worn out parts which will include rollers, bearings, pulleys and Pneumatics.
  • Electrical work will include reading through electrical schematics, utilizing electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and fault finding on panels.
  • Mainly swapping both electrical and mechanical components like for like with the odd strip and rebuild project.
  • Being involved with project and continuous improvement work meaning you are engineering problems out as appose to sticking a plaster on it.

The Person

To be successful in your application for a Maintenance Team Leader you will need:

  • An Engineering qualification
  • Maintenance experience in a production, manufacturing or warehousing environment.
  • Alternatively, you could be from the Navy, Army or RAF.
