Job Title: Ecology Manager (Principal Level)

Salary: £40,000-£50,000

A company who provides highway, fleet management and maintenance services across the East Midlands are looking for an experienced Principal Ecologist to join their team in Nottingham.

The Ecology Manager will lead the ecology team in delivering environmental services aligned with organisational goals. This role involves setting priorities, allocating resources, and applying ecological expertise to ensure project success. Responsibilities include overseeing ecological planning, serving as an expert witness, providing specialised advice for regulatory compliance, and identifying opportunities to enhance services. The manager also mentors team members, ensuring their professional growth and accountability to standards. Additionally, they represent projects and the organisation professionally across various platforms.

Ecology Manager Criteria

• BSc/MSc in ecology or similar relevant field (essential)
• Extensive relevant experience (essential)
• Mixture of field and recent consultancy experience
• Extensive BNG knowledge and experience
• Full UK driving licence
