If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Residential Support Worker (Adult) at a co-educational secondary school in Gateshead!

As a Residential Support Worker (Adult), you will play a vital role in providing care and support to adults within the school community. This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment where your contributions are highly valued.

Responsibilities of Residential Support Worker (Adult):

• Provide day-to-day support and care for adults within the residential setting.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.
• Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all residents.
• Monitor and report on residents’ progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to care.

Requirements of Residential Support Worker (Adult):

• Previous experience working as a Residential Support Worker (Adult) is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, staff, and families.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting adults.
• Relevant qualifications or training in health and social care.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the residents and the school.
• Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
