Intermediate Electronics Engineer | Bristol | Up to £45K + Annual Bonus

This role supports the design and build of hardware for training products. Best suited to a pragmatic, problem-solving engineer skilled in PCB design, hardware-software integration, and prototyping. You should be comfortable with design processes, documentation, and working with external suppliers.

Responsibilities:
  • Translate product requirements into integrated hardware and application functionalities.
  • Collaborate with the Software Team to outline hardware needs and ensure effective integration into products.
  • Participate in feasibility studies to identify viable development solutions.
  • Develop and optimise system firmware.
  • Oversee subcontractor efforts to ensure PCBAs meet specified standards.
Necessary Experience:
  • Hands-on with ECAD tools like EAGLE, Altium, and OrCad.
  • Experienced in taking products from concept through to manufacture.
  • Familiar with EMC certification and skilled in board-level testing and SMT rework.
  • Comfortable using tools like oscilloscopes, waveform generators, spectrum analysers, and DMMs.
  • Strong in real-time embedded C, audio electronics, motor control, and power electronics (DC-DC, battery-powered, high/low-power).
