Overview

As Corporate Actions Delivery Associate within the Corporate Actions team, you will be responsible for dealing with all aspects of processing and reporting, as well as validating and processing shareholder documents and analysing information for client companies and/or advisers.

Based full time in our City Centre office in Leeds, this is a permanent role working 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday. Occasional paid overtime may be required

What you will need:

Essential: 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong team working skills
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with change  
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Planning and organisation
  • PC Literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access packages

Desirable:

  • Relevant business exams, such as IOC, ICSA or IAQ 
  • Previous experience in a similar operational role
  • Further/Higher education in Maths/Engineering/Financial subject


Day to Day:

The Corporate Actions team collect shareholder elections and report daily on currently active Corporate Action events, relaying the updated information to Senior Management and Directors of mainly UK based companies, but occasionally some further afield such as Europe, USA, South Africa or Australia.  

You will often liaise with shareholders from all over the globe, varying from small retail holders to large international institutions

The work is varied & interesting, with technical tasks such as currency option elections for an upcoming dividend, investigations into historical events that will assist a retail shareholder to locate their lost holding, companies merging or splitting in two, right up to hostile takeovers worth hundreds of millions of pounds.

You will be part of a small team with immense responsibility, and so attention to detail is paramount.
