Tradewind Recruitment is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a part time 1:1 Teaching Assistant with Bus Passenger Assistant Duties to join a Primary School. This role is part time Monday to Thursday until February 2025 at least.

Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant with Passenger Assistant Duties

Location: Lincoln area

Start Date: ASAP

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with a student with additional needs in the Primary School, offering vital support to ensure their educational journey is as enriching as possible. Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing individualised assistance to the assigned student.
  • Implementing strategies to support the student's learning and development.
  • Collaborating with the class teacher to adapt and tailor lessons as needed.
  • Assisting with the student's personal care and well-being.
  • Monitoring and recording progress, communicating effectively with parents and the school team.

Requirements: We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Experience working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the educational needs of individual students.
  • Adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic school environment.

For the Passenger Assistant duties. This is in addition to the 1:1 Teaching Assistant role. You will be picked up by the school bus at the pick up point just outside of Lincoln and will escourt the pupils to school and back on the return bus home.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely escorting children to and from school during transportation.
  • Providing first aid assistance if needed.
  • Ensuring the comfort and security of passengers throughout the journey.
  • Assisting children with special needs or medical conditions, including epilepsy, with care and compassion.
