Labourer
We are looking to recruit a hardworking committed Labourer to join our team at Delden Cranes.
The role will be based at our yard and workshops working alongside our multiskilled workforce to maintain and service a modern fleet of crawler cranes.
Main duties will include: loading and unloading transport in the yard, general yard maintenance ensuring good housekeeping standards are always maintained. The role will require a lot of physical work including climbing, manual handling and working at height.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training will include accredited CPCS Slinger Signaller, CPCS Crawler Crane Operator, Forklift Truck operator, IPAF, Harness and working at height training.
- Work on a modern fleet of crawler cranes carrying out general maintenance including cleaning, painting and minor repairs.
- Maintain daily records using PDA systems to record all inspections and jobs.
- Assist engineers with repairs on the fleet of crawler cranes.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
- Be flexible to work away from home and extended hours to assist with loading and unloading, this may include working weekends as and when required, a flexible attitude is essential.
- Carry out general maintenance on the premises and around the yard.
- Undertake other duties that management may reasonably request.
Skills
- Hardworking and physically able to climb and work at height.
- Willing to work outside in all conditions.
- Good communication skills and can work well in a team or individually.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A willingness to learn and train may lead to future progress within the business.
