Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join our team on a major civil engineering infrastructure project. This is a contract role requiring a candidate with a strong background in civil engineering, experience with modern surveying techniques, and expertise in implementing quality assurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Setting Out: Accurately establish control points, levels, and alignment using various surveying equipment, including Electronic Distance Measurement (EDM) instruments, for infrastructure works.

Site Supervision: Oversee daily site operations and ensure compliance with technical designs and engineering standards.

Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes in line with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP). Ensure all works are carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Surveying: Perform and manage all site-based surveying tasks, including as-built surveys and verification of designs.

ITP Implementation: Develop and manage Inspection and Test Plans to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements.

Compliance: Ensure that all works comply with the approved designs, client requirements, and relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate records of site activities, measurements, and any non-conformances. Generate site reports as required.

Collaboration: Liaise with the project team, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely and effective delivery of the project.

Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any technical or logistical issues on site promptly.

Health & Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and regulations.

Essential Skills & Experience:
Civil Engineering Background: A degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field.

EDM Experience: Proficient in using EDM instruments and other modern surveying tools.

ITP & Quality Processes: Demonstrated experience in preparing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality assurance processes.

Setting Out: Strong expertise in setting out for civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, foundations, and other infrastructure works.

PTS Certification: Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification is mandatory for this role.

Project Experience: Previous experience working on civil engineering infrastructure projects, ideally in sectors such as rail, highways, utilities, or large-scale civil works.

Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges on-site efficiently.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Experience with Total Stations, GPS surveying equipment, and associated software.

Experience in AutoCAD or similar design software to check and verify drawings.

Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.

Required Certifications:
PTS (Personal Track Safety) certification is mandatory for this role.
