We are currently recruiting for a Saw Operative for a local manufacurer in Loughborough. As a Saw Operative you will be based in a busy Workshop.
Ideally you will have a background in woodworking and be familiar with Band Saws although as a Saw Operative you will need to required to undergo training provided by our client, be health and Safety conscious and be able to measure accurately.
This is a long-term position for the right candidate.
Pay for the Saw Operator:
- £11.44 per hour plus overtime rates up to £20.88 per hour
Hours for the Saw Operative:
- 07.45 to 16:30 - Monday to Thursday
- 07.45 to 15:15 – Friday
- 30 minutes lunch break
The Role

- Panel Saw
- Band Saw
- Sliding Table Saws
- Dimension Saws
- Mitre Saw
- Jig Making
- Reading of technical drawings
Job Requirements
- Be able to measure accurately.
- To make sure the machines are running smoothly.
- Adhere to Health & Safety Regulations.
- Preferably have a wood working background
- Be willing to undertake other tasks as set out by your Team Leader
- Be a team player.
