The Role:

Are you a dynamic and organised team player? Are you experienced in work planning and scheduling processes within a busy operations environment? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. We are currently recruiting for a Transport / Resource Scheduler to join our Site Operations Team in our Maidenhead office.

In this role, you will be responsible for maximising the planning and organisation of site order fulfilment across the UK, embodying our core values of prioritising customer needs, taking ownership of your responsibilities with accountability, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and exploration.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, and due to the nature of the job is office-based. The successful candidate will join our friendly and supportive team in our Maidenhead office.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, the Resource Scheduler will be efficient and effective in productivity planning and scheduling of our site technicians in a cost-effective manner, ensuring client requirements are met. With a focus on safety and open communication, the Transport / Resource Scheduler will use fleet routing software and logistical planning techniques to ensure the efficient deployment of survey equipment across all active regional zones.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Efficient route management and planning to maximise technician utilisation.
  • Scheduling and communication of shift organisation and technician deployment across regions.
  • Assignment and management of equipment requirements in line with our low-cost model KPIs.
  • Implementation of controls for maximising safety related to shift and driving times.
  • Continuous improvement of systems and processes related to logistical planning for site delivery.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated accountability in previous roles, showcasing ownership and commitment to delivering results with integrity and excellence.
  • Previous experience in work planning and scheduling processes, displaying commercial acumen in optimising resource utilisation while placing a strong emphasis on prioritising customer needs.
  • Proven high-level planning and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively, ensuring a customer-first approach in all operational aspects.
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail, coupled with a curious mindset to foster continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Experience using fleet management software; previous experience with Optimoroute or similar is beneficial.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • High-level Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, promoting open communication and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, contributing to the organisation's commercial success while embodying the values of accountability, customer-first orientation, and curiosity.
