Job Description

We are currently seeking a hardworking, resourceful candidate to join our dynamic team as an Electrical Project Delivery Supervisor

The Electrical Project Delivery Supervisor will be responsible for managing and growing our current team of highly skilled Electrical Engineers, to design and install the electrical installation to support the control systems. 

This role will be working alongside control system project engineering staff. The ideal candidate is to be self-motivated, a practical problem solver with good communication and written skills, well educated with relevant qualifications or have previous experience in a similar environment.

Whilst the majority of the work will be within standard working hours this operational role requires you to be flexible and will involve extensive travel to sites (approx. max of 3 hours away). Some time away from home is to be expected but it is not planned to exceed 20% of the working week. Hotels will be provided for any commute times over 1.5 hours.

Full-time position (08:30-17:15 Monday to Thursday and 08:30-16:00 on Fridays)

What we are looking for:

  • Leading engineering delivery, to client expectations, for electrical installation, to support the control system projects.
  • To assign tasks and providing supervision, mentoring, guidance and support to the installation team of Electrical Engineers, Technicians and Apprentices
  • Developing and implementing standard work practices to ensure electrical installations are carried out in accordance with industry and client specific specifications
  • Developing and implementing standard work practices to ensure the purchasing of installation materials is planned and efficient, reducing waste and improving our ‘Just In Time’ procurement to ensure that engineers have the materials they need on site
  • Designing, developing, installing and maintaining electrical control systems and components to specification
  • Identifying sales opportunities and providing technical support to sales staff for electrical installation, maintenance and support work packages
  • Authoring and configuring system design documentation, network architecture drawings, electrical drawings and general arrangements
  • Aiding in the production of detailed design specifications including Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and System Design Specifications (SDS).
  • Managing and completing site surveys

What we require from you:

  • A minimum of 3 years practical experience and ideally a solid understanding of electrical diagrams for control panel wiring or electrical installation.
  • Electrical qualifications C&G, BTEC, NVQ3, ONC or HNC/HND, 18th edition required.
  • Previous experience in a service & support, electrical installation or maintenance role.
  • Electrical design including EPlan, AutoCAD or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • Control Panel design, manufacture or electrical installation skills.
  • Experience of equipment installation and commissioning.
  • An advantage would be to hold city and guild inspection and testing certificate
  • Clean UK Driving License
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
