I am currently recruiting for a Supplies Assistant on behalf of my client, a leading public sector organisation based in Sheffield (S2).

You will provide a professional, efficient & cost effective Stores, Supplies and Logistics service.

Duties of the Stores Assistant will include:

• Issuing and receipt of Materials
• Stores documentation checks.
• Stock checking
• Electronic Inputting of Stores documentation
• Processing of Stock Replenishment, Low value and collect Orders.
• Work with operational staff to define, install, manage and amend van stocks in order to meet day to day stock requirements
• Undertake visual inspection of tools, equipment and may involve using plant and machinery including fork lift truck
• To update/use other electronic device as provided eg tablets on a daily basis as jobs are undertaken (ie in real time) to ensure that work can be tracked and monitored for work flow and performance monitoring and to order follow on and new repair works.

To be successful in this role as Supplies Assistant, you will have:

• Experience of working in an operational supplies and stores environment
• Demonstrates an understanding of stores and supplies processes
• Experience of the use of ICT systems ideally in a Stores/Supplies/Operational environment
• Experience of working effectively within a team to contribute to the development of self and others
• Good working knowledge of health and safety in a Stores and Supplies/operational environment
• Fully qualified to drive fork lift vehicles including reach, counterbalance

This post is full time Monday-Friday 8am- 4pm, with a pay rate of £14.79- £16.12 per hour PAYE depending on experience.
