Exciting Opportunity for a Design Manager

Are you a seasoned Design Manager with a strong commitment to Health & Safety in design? Do you excel in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions? If you're looking for your next challenge, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Experience in the water industry is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health & Safety Leadership: Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S legislation and regulations, managing risks and communicating them effectively.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the Design team to meet project objectives, delivering quality results on time and within budget.
  • Project Management: Oversee design expenditures, manage costs, and maintain a detailed Design Management Plan.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with partners and stakeholders, attending key meetings and providing technical support during construction phases.
  • Quality & Sustainability: Ensure technical work meets standards, focusing on sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Extensive experience in multi-disciplinary design management within a design-build environment.
  • Degree in an engineering-related discipline and Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it).
  • Strong project delivery skills, with a solid understanding of CDM Regulations and construction H&S practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes.

Desirable:

  • Experience with global organizations, remote teams, and BIM procedures.
  • APM Project Management Qualification (or working towards it).
